Pogba arrives in Manchester ahead of transfer

French midfielder Paul Pogba has arrived in Manchester United as he prepares to complete a €105m transfer to his former club.

The Frenchman arrived in Manchester on Monday after current club Juventus granted him permission to undergo a medical examination to complete his return to Old Trafford.
Manchester United made the announcement on Sunday, saying “Paul Pogba has been granted permission to have a medical in order to finalise his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United.”
While the statement did not confirm when the medical would take place, Pogba was spotted in Manchester on Monday.
Manager Jose Mourinho said that move will see Pogba be at the right club “to be the best player in the world.”
"United is the perfect club to bring him to the level he wants to be. The Premier League is the perfect habitat for that, if you want to be the best player in the world. If you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, you are in trouble because I don't think the other two big guys (Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo) will let you.
“Here he is in the most-seen, worldwide, championship which is absolutely incredible, with a team which wants to bring Manchester United to the top again. We have everything to give him and we know the reasons why he wants to come to us,” Mourinho told reporters.
Pogba left United in 2012 to join Juventus for a reported €95,000. He is now set to return for a record-breaking fee of around €105 million.
This transfer would top the €101 million Real Madrid spent to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham in 2013.
